Shalom friends!
We’re going to nerd out today with a deep dive into Proverbs 18:21—
“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (NIV).
I touched on this verse in my last podcast episode, Finding Peace in Christ while Speaking Life with Jane Berry.
A Deep Dive into Proverbs 18:21
I’ll be using some of the questions I usually ask when studying the Bible. But I depart from them a bit to make time to pay tribute to a mentor, Kathy Pietsch, whose Christ-focused life influenced my thoughts and words so powerfully as I considered the words in this verse. She passed into glory this last week.
In this episode, I talked about:
- The Biblical thread where the book of Proverbs lies
- Recalled details of the life of Solomon
- Applying this verse through the life of my friend and her influence of me
