Shalom friends!

We’re going to nerd out today with a deep dive into  Psalm 18:2—

“The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock,                   in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me,                       and my place of safety” (NIV).

I touched on this verse in my last podcast episode, Finding Peace in Christ when Far From Home with Mabel Ninan.

A Deep Dive into Psalm 18:2

There’s a lot we can learn about God, and ourselves, from this verse. I recently identified 10 (of many) questions I ask when I approach Scripture from a contextual point of view, and I answer some of them in this episode! I considered:

  • The writer, original audience, time frame, and genre
  • This Psalm’s relationship to 2 Samuel 22
  • Meaning of several words in the original language of Hebrew
  • A surprising way peace is embedded in the form of this Bible verse

If you’d like a copy of the 10 questions I will be using in these solo deep dive episodes, head over here to download the PDF: https://mailchi.mp/18893c5c043d/10-great-questions
